Bangalore: Yet another call centre
employee fell victim to reckless
driving on Monday night. The 23-year-old
employee and driver of the office
car, in which she was returning
to her Indiranagar home, were killed
when a water tanker rammed their
car head-on near the Command Hospital
on Airport Road.
Varsha Hegde, a native of Sirsi,
driver Rakesh Kumar (32) and security
guard Madan Lal (33) were in the
car. Varsha and Kumar succubed to
injuries in the hospital while Madan
Lal, who is in a critical condition,
is undergoing treatment.
Police said Varsha was working
in a call centre in Ashoknagar.
The truck driver Shivanna (25) has
been arrested. A few days back,
Brijesh Christopher (29) was killed
when a call centre vehicle knocked
him down in front of the Bangalore
University gate on Mysore Road.
Brijesh was taking a right turn
into the gate when the cab running
in the opposite direction hit his
scooter.
Ironically, Brijesh worked in the
same call centre to which the cab
belonged. |
