The Power of unity is more than simply to organise IT/ITES professionals and fill in the gaps, one cannot even imagine the outcome so we know where we think we want to go & thank UNI-APRO Regional Office - Singapore for supporting this initiative. UNITES is an emergent structure/ process, that arose because that is, in some way, how IT/ITES professionals work alone and with others who may be in the same city or across the ocean in another continent.

What's more UNITES enables IT/ITES professionals to embed themselves in UNITES, because of the familiarity, in the work, IT/ITES professionals can use this to "see" where WE are in the process, even when someone else is doing the same work in another location. We recruit IT/ITES professionals into the organisation and enable these professionals to understand UNITES, and take independent actions towards fulfilling the outcome, without constantly having to ask for orders and decisions from the rest of the UNITES group. This is a great tool but it has one limitation, when IT/ITES professional finds in unfamiliar surroundings to which IT/ITES professionals are not exposed UNITES chips in to help. When IT/ITES professionals are confronted with situations not encompassed by our internalised work they have to improvise. Those who can do so effectively, survive, those who can't are swept away by history, this is where UNITES steps to ensure the guidance/hand holding is provided to IT/ITES professionals. One that the Employers have never figured out.
