Introduction
of trainer Bro. Karthik Shekhar, General
Secretary, UNITES by Bro. P. Srinivas,
One of the UNITES Organisers from Hyderabad
and subsequently introduction of the participants
was done by Bro. Karthik Shekhar, General
Secretary, UNITES. After introduction
he played a video “TELL ME WHY”
for participants. Later the trainer started
a session called “Art of Networking”
which includes what is Networking, how
it was derived, what is necessity of Networking
and objective of the NgN programme. He
also added why we are organizing UNITES
- NgN forum for IT & ITES professionals
at this juncture of time. The Networking
session also includes “Together
we can” concept and “communication
model” concept. There was a small
exercise called “Hidden Message”
in which every participants should pass
a message to another participant without
saying loud. “Hidden Squares”
exercise was also done by Bro. Karthik
Shekhar. All the participants were actively
participated.
Post of tea break, there was ‘Introduction
to UNITES” – session done
to explain about UNITES how it has came
into existence, growth of UNITES, success
stories of UNITES and also challenges
faced by UNITES in organising. One of
the participant raised a query regarding
how far UNITES will go to solve the employees
problems? Bro. Karthik Shekhar replied
to the participants question by quoting
a problem of 24/7 employee and how the
employee got succeed with support of UNITES.
Bro. Karthik also assured all the participants
that UNITES will support the employees
from starting of the problem to end of
the problem. One of the participant Bro.
Lawrence asked the General Secretary that
if some employees talking about UNITES
in in side of a company
among employees then what will happen
to the employee? Then Bro. karthik responded
to the question that it is not major problem
and asked him to speak about out side
of the company. Some of other participants
clarified their doubts regarding single
sided contract, Not giving required holidays
properly, the harm employee get by management
for reporting his problem to UNITES etc.

There
was a session called “UNI Global
Union”. In this session Bro. Karthik
Shekhar explained what is UNI Global Union,
UNIDOC and its regions and the sectors
it is operating and various other important
details about the organization.
Bro. Karthik Shekhar also informed all
the employees regarding how UNITES is
running with the membership fee paid by
the members.
After the session, there was a question
hour session in which many of the participants
told the general secretary about their
problems and asked for clarification.
Bro. Karthik was answered suitably to
their all questions.
Post lunch break, all the participants
were asked to give their feed back. After
the feed back, Bro. Karthik Shekhar awarded
all participants with certificates.
The participants were given kits containing
NgN, UNITES brochures along with stationery
items.
Vote of thanks were given by Bro. G. Sharma,
one of the UNITES Organisers from Hyderabad
by thanking Bro. Karthik for his excellent
presentations and thanked all the participants
for their active participation.

of the meeting. The Meeting
ended by 3.30 PM.
